victorian Double back chair

The second of Miranda and Jamie's commissions. A Victorian double back spring chair in a very sorry state. With some care and attention when stripping however, we were able to save the original horse hair pad and springs which are now firmly stitched and tied in to brand new webbing and spring canvas.

It's finished in a Linwood Fabrics Ashfield II Pear print on linen with a Susan Deliss verdigris braid. A fine example of bringing a beautiful heirloom back from the brink.
