regency mahogany stool

Kathleen’s antique stool began life in Alloa with her great, great grandparents, James and Margaret Scott, being its first custodian’s. As it was passed down the generations, it accompanied the family to Kelso and Inverkip. It returned to Alloa for a number of years with Kathleen and her husband Hugh Dan before settling in it’s current location in their new home in Kelso.

Kathleen chose a full strip-back-to-the-frame traditional, re-upholster with a bold a vibrant ‘Sienna Mint’ fabric by Prestigious Textiles. It’s a classic herringbone design with a twist and the multiple colours within it’s weave really make it pop.

It’s a piece that captures every value of what we’re all about at Suí Upholstery.

“I am really making good use of my nice stool at my dressing table and i am not letting Hugh Dan put his trousers on it! It is just super now. Thank you ever so much for reviving it for me.”
